Time for an update!

I used to be such a good blogger...not so much anymore!  Here are the goings on of February!

My beautiful niece turned 8!!  I can't believe how fast time has flown!!  I remember driving to Evanston from Logan the day that she was born!!  This is the skirt that I made her for her birthday!  If you know me at all, you know that I am not the greatest seamstress, but it turned out pretty good thanks to my friend Monica and her expertise after making 4 of them!!  I'd like to say that gathering sucks!!  We also celebrated Travis' birthday!

Charlie has learned so much! I can't believe that he is going to be 9 months old next week!!  He started crawling at Lexi's birthday party and has now mastered it.  He is speed crawling now and can officially climb stairs.  Now comes the fun of teaching him how to crawl down them backwards and hoping that he bounces as he falls down them!!  He loves climbing up on top of Jack's little trampoline...but getting down off of it is another story!

Along with the crawling comes the bonks and bruises!  The boys and I stayed with Lexi for a week while my
parents went to the Nascar race in Vegas for their birthdays. (It was my mom's 50th!)  We had fun!  It was nice to spend time with Lexi and I even injured myself playing baseball on the Wii.  Poor Charlie's head did not fair too well  with the tile, oak chairs and metal furnishings!  He had huge bruises on his head by the time the week was over. Charlie even found an apple as a snack!  (It was Jack's).

Jack loved it at "Ga-ga" and "Gook's" house.  The minute that we got home, he asked to go back!  He LOVES Lexi!

Jack is really starting to talk now and it quite the funny and mischievous little boy! He is a fantastic big brother and really loves Charlie!  He is always giving him hugs and kisses and now that Charlie is crawling, I have to remind Jack that he CANNOT ride Charlie like a horse.  He definitely gets points for imagination! I have a feeling that Charlie is going to follow in his brother's footsteps!  I am SO grateful to have such sweet boys!

7 Months!!

It has been 7 months since Charlie was born!  I can't believe that it has been that long!

Charlie has been such a great addition to our family!  Jack loves him and Charlie could spend hours watching his big brother!

Charlie LOVES rolling everywhere!  He can get there fast too!  He is already starting to get on his hands and knees, which frightens me because I am NOT ready for 2 mobile children!!  He has such a cute smile and I think that there are many neighbors that would gladly steal him!  He smiles at everyone! He is a big talker too!  He can get pretty loud and animated!

He is not all that thrilled with solids yet, but doesn't spit out what I stuff into his mouth! No teeth yet...not even a sign of them!  He is sitting all by himself and he is getting really good balance!

Happy 7 months Charlie!!  We are so happy that you are a part of our family!

Christmas...Eve

So, Santa came a little early at the Moesser home this year.  I am glad that he is so accommodating and willing to work with our schedule!   We had planned to spend Christmas day at home, wear our pajamas all day, watch movies and definitely not fix our bed head hair, but our plans kind of changed last minute.  We will be heading to West Valley in the morning, so we opened presents tonight. We wanted to give the boys some time to play with their toys!
It is really fun this year because Jack understands the whole present thing now!  He was very excited with the things that he received...especially the Speed Racer steering wheel that I payed $2.99 for at Smith & Edwards...of course!!  I'll have to get a picture of his new tent with a tunnel!  He loves it!  Charlie got one too...he loved the wrapping paper!
To my surprise, Charlie is actually a good present opener...it takes a while, but he is totally interested in the paper!  Jack was not when he was little, so this is a fun change!

It was a great Christmas.  I bought Travis an out of print Final Fantasy Piano book that I had shipped from Japan!!  It is actually mostly written in Japanese as well...I'm sure he'll figure it out!  I got new pans!!  I am SO excited...no more teflon chips for me!!  I don't have to say, "No Honey, I didn't add pepper to the oatmeal" anymore!!!  ;)

Merry Christmas and God bless!!

Getting Ready for Christmas!

It has been a VERY eventful month and I am definitely ready for it to be over!  After tomorrow there is no more travel planned for a while, so things can finally slow down!!
I was so excited to have some friends come to a small Christmas party on the 12th! It was a VERY snowy day!  I made a turkey...yes, me...and it was excellent!  Thanks to the internet and some tips from some great cooks around here it was fabulous!!  Two of the three families made it here and right before we go to eat (and then call to see if one more family is close), I check my voice mail and my dear friend Bobbi had totaled her car just miles from our house!!  I felt HORRIBLE.  She and her boys ended up being okay.  She was sore and broke her pinky, but no major injuries...aside from her SUV.  Afterwards, the Hutchinsons' ventured back home, but the others decided to stay the night.  It was fun to have company over and I was happy that we had enough beds!
The very next morning we went to my parents to celebrate Christmas!!  It was great and we had a ton of fun!!

Poor Devin was not feeling well.  And then my dad took a little snooze with my newest nephew, Kooper James.

Oh, here is some of Jack's great art work on the wall...yes, it's Sharpie...and that was after hours of scrubbing with The Magic Eraser!

Lexi came to stay with us for a few days!  Isn't she gorgeous!!  Her hair is so pretty!!

Much needed update!

I'd really like to say that we have been ridiculously busy running from place to place, solving world hunger and curing diseases and that is why I have not blogged in over a month and a half...but, alas, we've been home, the world still has many hungry and no cures have come from this house!  Really, I am just still trying to pull myself together and to get organized and into the routine of being a mother of two!  I have to say that I am far busier than I have ever been, yet I seem to not accomplish anything...I am hoping that I am not the only mother to feel this way!

Both boys are growing like weeds!  Jack is now two years old!  I can barely believe that my Jack was born over 2 years ago!  He is such a fun and wonderful kid!  He has so much energy and is running and getting into EVERYTHING constantly!  He was blessed with height so he can turn on/off the lights now, he can open the doors with the safety knobs on them and even knows which key goes in the ignition of the car!  He is so soft and gentle with his brother and covers Charlie with blankets and brings him toys! He loves trains, so for his birthday, I attempted my first cake that was not just a rectangle with frosting.  I think that it turned out great, thanks to Travis' positive support at 2AM!  I think that he really enjoyed the day!

Charlie is coming up on 6 months!  Crazy! He is now known as "Charlie Bucket", "Chuck", "Charleston" and Jack calls him "Char".  He is our little roly-poly smiling boy!  He is coveted amongst many of my neighbors!   Today, (with a little help with leg positioning) he started sitting up by himself!  He absolutely ADORES Jack!  He giggles whenever he is near and loves being bounced and swung by Jack...(Mom does not like it because she fears that he is going to fly out of the swing or bouncer!)  We absolutely love our new addition!

Speaking of new additions, Jack got 2 new puppies for his birthday!  So, welcome Winston and Chester!  They are so cute and we love them...even if they are more wild than Jack and still jump up.  They are MUCH bigger now than in the picture.  They are part German Shorthair and part Australian Shephard.  SO cute!!

Aside from that, not much is happening.  Travis is working very hard on his thesis and is really close!  We miss him when he stays late or goes to work on it in Logan, but are proud of him for all that he has accomplished!  Jack definitely has his brains!!  Jack knows all the sounds of the alphabet, except for Q and X!!  I am thinking that he will be reading by 3 or 4!!

Here are the latest pictures!  I was feeling creative!  Merry Christmas everyone!

Same old Mischief!

So, again, it has been a while!  Kudos to all you moms out there that have more than one young kid running around and manage to keep up with your blogs!!  I am not one of you!  Two kids under the age of 2 has proven a bit more difficult than I imagined, but even during the chaos, I love these two boys!

Jack and Charlie are both growing like weeds! Jack is about a quarter of an inch away from reaching the light switches! He can already reach the switches in nursery! Bless his nursery teachers' hearts for putting up with him! He knows the sounds to 20 of the 26 letters of the alphabet already!! He is still up to his regular mischievous deeds. Here is one of the many latest adventures...

Yes, it's a container of oatmeal...and yes, it is on the floor and his head!

Jack loves the camera and does not let me get many pictures of Charlie without the big brother!

Now, for Charlie's moment:
Charlie definitely has made it through his "premie" stage and is a little chunk! He has his 4 month check up on the 30th and I am pretty sure that he is going to weigh more than most! It amazes me that the kid was only 6 lbs and in NICU!! Charlie LOVES to smile and coo and can give looks that melt your heart!

He is SO going to be a manipulator!!
He can roll from his back to tummy, but not the other way around (which is usually first). We have started some rice cereal and carrots. He is not so thrilled about the food thing...but I think he is getting the hang of it! He is sleeping through the night and has been for about 2.5 months now! It is beautiful!!  Charlie is also starting to play with toys and LOVES playing with his feet!!

Jack is a GREAT big brother and is constantly showering Charlie with kisses and shoving binkies in his face!! Jack is going to be a birthday boy and turn 2 on the 25th! I can't believe how quickly time is flying by!

We did make it to the zoo this summer and saw the baby elephant and giraffe! Jack loved the monkeys that were screaming...Charlie did not!! Jack also loved the train...Charlie did not!!

Aside from growing boys, life is still going as usual.  Travis is making great progress on his thesis and MAY be done this semester!!  I am so proud of him and he has been such a great daddy, even with being as busy and stressed as he has been with finishing his degree and the quarterly layoffs at the company that he works for (ATK).  We love him so much and are so happy to spend time with him when he is home!
