Goodbye Changing Table!

Sophie stopped napping around 14 months!  This is not a change for the better in my eyes!  Since she was not napping and I needed my sanity, I enforced "Quiet Time" where the kiddos are in their room with the door shut and playing quietly.  It makes for a much happier mama!

I went to check on Sophie during "Quiet Time" and this is what I found.

Adorable? Yes!  Safe?  Not really!

So, the changing table had to go.  Not very convenient, but now I don't worry about our little monkey!

She has started asking to use the potty, so maybe we won't miss it too much!!

Camping!

Camping in January???  It's true!  We did it...here in Perry...for 5 days! ( The only reason that we took it down was so that the EQ Presidency would have a place to sit when they visited.  I thought we should just have out little pow-wow in the tent, but Travis didn't really feel like snuggling up to other men...go figure).

Travis won the "Daddy of the Year" for this one!  We set up the tent and left it up for 5 days!  The kids were tons of help! ;)  I think it was Sophie sitting on top of the tent that made it especially easy!

I just happen to have exactly zero pictures of the tent actually up.  Yes, lame... I know!  Perhaps we were exhausted after beating the record for the "World's Slowest Tent Raising"!  The boys never actually made it sleeping in the tent all night.  I guess that beds are just more comfortable and it is la lot easier to fight with your brother if you are sleeping right next to him!
None the less, it was still pretty fun to have a tent in your front room for 5 days!
