Halloween

There is nothing quite as fun as spending Halloween with Mario, Luigi and Little Red Riding Hood!

The boys decided a few months in advance that they wanted to be Mario and Luigi.  I have to say that I fueled their desires a bit because I thought that it would be adorable!  I did have to convince Jack to be Luigi.  Once that was settled, Charlie needed a little encouragement to not be "just like Jack" and wear the red.
When I found the costumes and saw that they were $25 a piece, I was being thrifty (cheap) and didn't want to pay that for a costume they wear once!  I thought, "this will be easy...overalls, hats, shirts.  I can get those all at the DI..., right?!?"  Let's just say that the DI (all 3 that I checked), have tons of overalls...just NONE in the sizes that I needed.  I did find the hats on ebay for $5 each, but the only overalls I could find were from Osh Kosh.  Needless to say, instead of paying $50 with free shipping, I payed $55.  They do have overalls that they can wear again (although they hate them).  But next year, there may be 2 little minions in our future! They wear overalls, right?!?

I actually made part of Sophie's costume...yes, me!  The hood and the vest were sewn by your's truly!  Next time, I will definitely use a pattern for the hood!  She was absolutely adorable!

Happy Halloween!
