Vacation!!

We headed up to Idaho for a little mini vacation.  The kids were so good on the drive up and slept most of the way!  It made for great travel!

We made it into Idaho Falls with the intent of going to the Tautphaus Zoo, but alas, it was the Earth Day Celebration and it was packed!  We decided to switch things up a bit and head to the Museum of Idaho to check out the dinosaur exhibit.  I did not get any pictures, but the kids loved it!  Their favorite part was playing in the little cabin and Sophie was partial to the teepee!

After the museum, we went over and checked into the hotel, or as Jack likes to call it, "the place with lots of beds".  This was by far Jack's favorite part of the entire vacation.  Had I known, we could have probably went a little cheaper by getting a hotel at home! ;)  We ate dinner at the hotel, had some ice cream at Coldstone Creamery and then came back to get some sleep for our adventure to Bear World!

Bear World was very fun!  It was the "Cub Palooza", so they had all the babies in a little exhibit and we were able to pet them!  I'm pretty sure that I need a baby bear!  They are so darn cute.  Travis said "no" to a pet bear.

Jack LOVED the little amusement rides!  Charlie...not so much!  But Daddy did go on a few and Charlie and Sophie did like the train.  It was a little chilly, but thankfully that meant that we basically had to place to ourselves!  Jack did make a friend that was his ride buddy for about 45 minutes!  Jack and Jake.  It was pretty cute.  They also had a petting zoo there.  The boys didn't really pet the animals, but they were pretty impressed with the speakers that look like rocks and play music!

Monday, before we headed home, we decided to stop by the Tautphaus Zoo.  We were a little crabby and didn't enjoy it as much as I would have liked, but I was glad that we went!  Sophie was impressed!

We headed home taking a detour through Cache Valley and got a little ice cream at Charlie's.  Overall, it was a great vacation!

Easter

Easter was fun this year!  The bunny came leaving a trail of eggs to the kiddos basket.  Thankfully, he listened and did not leave too much candy this year!  He sure made up for candy by leaving fun toys like bubbles and bats and balls! 

The Numbers Are In!!

The numbers are in for Sophie's one year check-up!

Things are looking good!  Still tall and skinny!  The only thing that we are watching is her teeth.  ZERO teeth...that's right, NONE!!  So, if she hasn't sprouted any teeth in the next 3 months, it is off to the dentist for x-rays. 

The nurses sure do love her and Sophie likes her nickname from the doctor.  She has been "peanut" since she was born!

P.S.  She hates shots...but the nurse is easily forgiven when she brings her a sucker!  We were all very sticky after that! ;)

Sophie is ONE!!!

Sophie is ONE!  We are so happy to have such a sweet, little girl in our lives!

Some things about Sophie:

*Nicknames: Fifi, Feefers, Sister, Princess and Cute Girl!

*She is tall and skinny!

*She's a little jibber-jabber!

*Not quite walking yet, but VERY close!

*Still ZERO teeth!

*She LOVES laying on blankets and rolling herself up in them.

*She thinks her brothers are pretty darn funny!

*She loves playing with her teapot...but loves playing with cars even more!

*No teeth...but she can eat a chicken nugget in record time!

*Never took a binkie...and now no more bottle!  What a big girl!

*Does NOT like being laid down for naps!

*Likes to wave to people!

*Can say: hi, mama, dada, uh-oh, and has consistent sounds for: peek-a-boo and bless you!

*Has been going up and down stairs for 3 months now!

*Is the sweetest girl and the perfect addition to our crazy little family!  We sure do love her!!

Sophie had a great party with lots of family there!  The kids LOVED running around the gym in the church!  Sophie was spoiled with tons of cute clothes and toys!

We had our pictures taken by my amazing friend Tasha!  All went very well!  The kids were pretty darn cooperative...well, mostly!  I think that they turned our great!
